In memoriam: Regina Stiller, chair of Bikers’ Voice FEMA news September 4, 2026 Regina Stiller, Chairwoman of Bikers’ Voice, the Austrian motorcyclists’ organisation, passed away unexpectedly on 8 August 2026. Bikers’ Voice was founded in November 2020 to provide stronger representation of bikers’ rights, and since then most of the association’s work has rested on her shoulders. Regina’s death is a painful loss not only for Bikers’ Voice. Within the European motorcycle community, she was a prominent voice who fought hard against entry bans and noise restrictions for motorcycles. Her main focus point was the fight against noise standards: she fiercely opposed the strict Austrian regulations, such as the entry ban on certain roads for motorcycles with a stationary noise level of more than 95 dB. According to Stiller, these rules unfairly affected a huge group of motorcyclists whose motorcycles simply met the official European type approval requirements. Regina and Bikers’ Voice worked closely with FEMA to call on motorcyclists across Europe to form a united front against arbitrary road closures. Under her leadership, Bikers’ Voice organized large demonstrations (such as a protest with 5,400 participants in Vienna) and sought dialogue with local residents, politicians, and manufacturers to reach constructive solutions without the need for riding bans. Bikers’ Voice says: “Without her network, and without the time and energy she invested in countless telephone calls and research, Bikers’ Voice is unable to continue working as it has done over the past almost six years. Deputy-chair Thomas Schluet will not be able to take over Regina’s responsibilities in the foreseeable future. A General Assembly will therefore be convened as soon as possible, at which a decision will be made on whether the association will continue to exist.” Regina deserves our gratitude for her tireless work on behalf of the association.” Our condolences go to Regina’s friends and family, she will be missed.
